This note is a pun on Bajoran, the Star Trek race known for their faith, ridged noses, and "d'ja pagh" ear jewelry. She's wearing it on the left ear because she's following TNG-era conventions. "It's not so much the heat as it is the gosh darn humidity, you know dat." This note is appropriate, since we currently have an entire peck of apples threatening to go bad on our kitchen counter, leftover from picking a few weeks back. We can only make so much maple apple crumble. It involved a music teacher, a circle drawn on a whiteboard, and a series of Christmas carol puns. He asked me to draw a note referencing the story, specifically requesting "heavenly peas." I have tried my best. [two angelic peas with wings and halos fly around an open pod containing three sleepy-faced peas]  Peas story hot. Peas story cold. Peas story in a note 2 years old. A dumb joke photoshop I made for my husband of a screenshot from Mega Man 10 enhanced with additional Spikes/Spykes and a Megaman-branded light bulb. References include Rugrats, Buffy, Cowboy Bebop, Spike TV, Spike Lee, X-Men: Evolution, Tom and Jerry, Space Quest V, The Land Before Time, and Dick Tracy.  "Spike formation, engage! ...TOO SPIKEY!"
