Day 323: If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will

Day 2: Devil
"Cruella de Vil"

I wanted to do something different than expected for this one, so I went with a Disney devil instead of the more typical religious kind. Still evil, though.

Day 322: I'm a bit conch-erned about this guy

Day 1: Ghost
"Ghost in the Shell"

All I knew was I really wanted to use that "Ghost in the Shell" pun, so I drew a fairly decent-looking seashell, then realized I had absolutely no idea what to do for the ghost part; hence the spiky tendril mess with the dumb face.

Hey! It's the ghost of that hermit crab you neglected as a kid. I'm sure it's happy to see you...

Bonus Note #19

The next 11 days I will be sharing art from Drawlloween 2015. *Technically* I didn't create any of them for my husband or his lunches, but he *did* help me brainstorm ideas, and I *did* excitedly run up and show them off to him after I finished each one like a kid who hopes their efforts will be impressive enough to put on the refrigerator, so he says they can count as additional posts here.

Before that, though, here are some celebratory pictures from Halloweens of yore to help put you in an appropriately spooky mood.

"It's historically accurate," they said. "It'll look scary and totally not like a Muppet," they said.
Lastly, here is a photo of a graveyard cake I made for our D&D group. I can't take credit for the pun names, though. Those came from a Google search.

[the cake has five Oreo crumble loose graves surrounded by piped gel frosting grass, with candy bones popping up through the "dirt." the headstones read "Hugh B. Next," "Barry D. Hatchet," "Dee Cayed," "Ricky T. Bones," and "Myra Mains."]

Day 321: Mega Man fangame #6,000,050

My husband plays so much Mega Man. So Much.

He also plays and streams a lot of Mega Man fangames, and curates one of the largest Mega Man fangame trackers on the internet.

Some of these games are brilliant. Some of these games are so ridiculously over-the-top they transcend pithy terms like "good" or "bad." And others... well, others are the game equivalent of a drunken text.

Day 320: A sad story

I'm pretty sure this bizarre note evolved from a combination of:
- my obsessive singing of "There Are No Bananas in the Sky"
- my near-constant dessert cravings
- ruminating on the idiom "pie in the sky"

If there is a deeper tale to tell, I don't remember it.

[image of a crying me saying "Come back! I want to eat you!" as I watch the stoically angelic Pie in Sky rocket into the air, leaving behind a trail of rainbow and light. Text at bottom reads "...but the pie would not return."]

Day 319: A bit odd

These first few images are all ones I doodled in MS Paint and left on my husband's desktop for him to find.

Here we have young Nuptup, the hero of ProJared's Pokémon FireRed Nuzlocke Challenge.
Nathaniel and I had a span of a few months where we spent almost all of our free time watching through the entire backlog of ProJared's channel. This nuzlocke series was one of the absolute highlights of that endeavor.

Day 318: Wake me up if I fall a-sheep

Hey! We're ending our hiatus! For realsies this time.

And we're starting things off with sheep in a stack. A sheep tower. A heap of sheep.

The past few years have been crazy - moving states again, new jobs, getting settled into a new community - but we're happy to be baaack.

[image of two sheep stacked on top of each other. The top one is saying "Baaa?" Text along the side reads "Just sheep on sheeping on..."]

Let's count sheep! One, one sheep. Two, two sheep. Ba ba ba ba!
