Day 173: Live free or goat herd

This is one of my favourite doodles so far.  It takes weirdness to a whole new level.

...and you'll get to look at it for the next few weeks because I am going on a road trip and won't be back until June 3rd.  :P

So goat. Much fruity. Wow.

Ooh yeah!  Even goats like music.
Hall and goats
You can tell Daryl is jealous of John's moustache and goat-ee

Grumpy Goat tooketh the whole grains, but the benevolent Quaker Goat giveth them back.  It was the right thing to do.

Welcome to goat week!   4 days of goat-centered wonderfulness.

"There used to be whole grains, but the goat ate them!"

Move over Grumpy Cat, Grumpy Goat is the new misanthrope in town...

Day 169: Speaking of dinosaurs...

I decided over the winter to give my husband some old-fashioned cutout snowflakes.  I thought it would be fun to leave them folded so that he could have the joy of opening them himself.  Here is what he found in his lunch:
folded snowflake
He immediately decided they were dinosaur sculptures to be displayed on his desk, so he never unfolded them:
dinosaur snowflakes
(or at least what I imagine he was seeing)
I had to tell him they were actually snowflakes.  I think he was disappointed...
snowflakes
Yeah, not as cool as dinos

Day 168: That's it, I'm fired

This pun, it doesn't work.  At all.  Who let me try and write puns at 7:30 in the morning?  Who?  (And what about this poor thing's anatomy?  That is truly a crime against art.)
Stego-saucer-us
Let's go back to our old, trusty stego-snore-us. At least he made sense.

Day 167: Inappropriate llama disaster

I was attempting to draw a cute llama, but he turned out kind of hyper and psychotic, like he hadn't slept for days.
He probably discovered Leverage was on Netflix, and decided to try and marathon the whole thing in one sitting because it's *that* good.
Beware of llama!
This note may be somewhat autobiographical...

Day 166: Just add wife

This winter was cold.  On an average day I have difficulty motivating myself out of bed.  With the polar vortex making the air temperature frigid enough to see my breath *inside* the house, I spent most mornings hunkered down under the covers like a hibernating bear.
New and Improved Bed!
Sorry, hoosband, no lunch note for you today; I am too busy burying myself in a blanket fort.

Day 165: Luh-uh-uving

This is a seasonal parody of the Regular Show song "Summertime Loving, Loving in the Summer (Time)" by Solid Bold.

Transcribed Lyrics (because my writing is hard to read):
It's Autumn-time and the leaves are looking fine.
Gonna sit out on the porch,
gonna sip some cider wine.
It's autumn-time and it's almost time for snow.
Gonna sit beside a fire,
gonna cuddle nice and slow.
Autumn-time luh-uh-uving, it's lovin' in the autumn-time...
Autumn Time!
Autumn Ghost Tapes are sideways. It's a fall thing.

Day 164: The jive is hip, don't say hep

For our anniversary, my husband and I sat down to watch the Bollywood film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.  It is the perfect couples' movie, with plenty of romance and heartstring pulling.  It also has the most well-rounded human characters we've seen in recent memory, with all the flaws, strengths, quirks, emotions, and awkwardness of real people.  Even though it is a love story, I wouldn't classify it as a "chick-flick;" there is enough comedy, action, drama, intrigue, plot twisting, and full-scale musical dancing to keep the average movie-goer entertained.  We would both highly recommend this film.

The note is a reference to one of the songs from the movie, "Dance Pe Chance," which talks about creating a step that will make you hep.
Step that makes you hep
This movie is solely responsible for returning "hep" to modern parlance.
