I don't know why I default to random animals when I can't think of something worthwhile to draw.

This is a joke that will only appeal to a specific adventure game audience who has played both Space Quest: Vohaul Strikes Back and Sam & Max: Season One.

Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki is pure, distilled happiness.  If you are a cat-person (you are using the internet, so you must be), then this is your new favourite show.

...fast forward to a few months ago when I stuck this note into his lunch.  He enjoyed the original "animals sitting on space ships" image so much that I just had to do an encore poking fun at Mass Effect.

I have a long history of sneaking photoshopped elements into my husband's desktop backgrounds and waiting for him to notice.  Last year he had this image of Enterprise sailing across his computer screen, and I decided the reason the ship was tipping to one side must be because of a giant space cat taking a nap on the warm nacelles.

This was a direct response to an article I read about the changing perception of dinosaurs over the years.  It started with the original idea that all dinosaurs were earth-toned and scaly, moved on to scientists' discovery that many dinosaurs were vividly colourful, and ended with all of the current research on dinosaurs and feathers.  The article was accented with several vintage artistic recreations of how dinosaurs may have looked, and some of them were downright ridiculous in light of modern data.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty...
