This was a combination of the "tamago" song from Revolutionary Girl Utena, the "map" song from Dora the Explorer, and our exposure to this egg song.
1/14/14 Edit: My husband reminded me that there was a character in Moribito who said something akin to this. Apparently we were eggs-posed to a lot of egg references at the same time.
