My husband and I sat down last year to watch the first season of Squid Girl on Netflix. It's super-cute, doesn't take itself too seriously, and is chock-full of puns. While it doesn't have the most inventive or introspective plot line, it is great casual fluff entertainment. 
You'd be gilly not to like this squidiculous drawing.
