Continuing our theme, here is Dr. Panji from Panda Z: The Robonimation, done in the style of Master Roshi from Dragon Ball Z.

I asked my husband for a theme because I ran out of inspiration. He asked for "anime characters drawn in the style of other anime characters."
Here is Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion, drawn in the style of my favourite animator, Leiji Matsumoto (Space Pirate Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato / Star Blazers, Galaxy Express 999, Queen Emeraldas...) I absolutely love his willowy 70's "sci-fi art nouveau" aesthetic. A pun from the delightfully saccharine show Is the Order a Rabbit?
A friend of ours was dared to do a video playthrough of Hatoful Boyfriend, a pigeon-based parody of the dating sim genre. Inspired by this hilarious gem of a game, I decided to draw an Okosan-themed note, celebrating his complete "ultimate pudding" ending.
(warning: video link contains mild cussing) Inspired by Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki . I decided to make a layered-paper rendition of Poyo as a square cat, as opposed to his usual roundness.
Dango-san is so happy he cannot even handle it right now. (I'm including the "know your meme" link because I had to explain the (un)grammatical construction of this note to my husband).
Something tells me rice flour and water are not a stable combination.
The adventure continues. Who even puts candy on the edge of a cliff?
(I can't help but think of the main character from Humanity has Declined every time I read this note) After spending over a month straight working on decorations for a friend's Clannad-themed wedding reception, I decided to do a short series of lunch notes starring an anthropomorphized dango character.
Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki is pure, distilled happiness. If you are a cat-person (you are using the internet, so you must be), then this is your new favourite show.
